Recipient of the Liebster Award!

Wow, this is all happening so fast! I never thought I could attract so many readers so early on. This is an award for upcoming new bloggers. It is my honor to receive this award so early on in my blogging career.

Denims and Dresses is going very strong! Less than 3 weeks in and we are over 2000 post views and 200 followers with only 8 blog posts so far. As always, I am touched and grateful when another blogger shows their appreciation and love for my work.

I really want to thank all my readers and especially Rachel Lynn for passing this down to me. She is an amazing blogger herself and I love following her posts. One can see the love and effort she puts in. Please show her some love!

There are few steps I need to complete in order to get this award. Let’s get this out of the way so we can begin the celebrations

1) If you could teleport to one place, where would it be?
I was may be 5 years old when I met my husband at someone’s wedding in India for the first time. We were innocently playing with each other and other kids at the wedding. After that we met again 15 years later in Canada and fell in love right away 
I would love to teleport to that wedding many years back where I met Ricky for the first time as a kid and live that moment again…you know it will be kinda hilarious ..lol

2) What is the most important thing you want your readers to get out of your blog?
For me it’s all about a connection and building relationship. You may just drop in to look around but will find yourself smiling and nodding in agreement. As you learn more, you will soon realize that someone else feels the same way as you do about many things in life.
I would want each reader to feel that special connection and to share our life with one another.

3) Who is your biggest supporter when it comes to your blog?
I have always been a fan of reading lifestyle blogs and feeling that connection with other women around the globe and it’s definitely crossed my mind few times to start my very own but I just never took that plunge until I had an opportunity to write a guest post for another blogger friend.
My biggest supporter is my hubby. He was very surprised to read the guest post and insisted that I take the time out to do something for myself for a change. He is not only supportive but has also taken lot of time out of his busy schedule learning about this big world of blogging with me.
This is how Denims and Dresses were born!

4) What is your most embarrassing moment?
There are too many but the most commonly repeated one is – ending up talking too loud in otherwise quite space only to get looks from bystanders. I have a very excited personality that comes out quite often very openly.

5) What is one thing you would like to accomplish by the fall?
My goal is to have a very loyal base of readers and to form some very close friendships over coming months with my peer bloggers and readers alike.

6) What’s your guilty pleasure snack?
Chocolates – any and every kind

7) What is your spirit animal?
Dolphin! They define me very well. They are calm, loving and caring. They like the ocean they live in, and can change with the tides to suit others around them.
Ever watched them play with one another? If you have, then you will understand the beautiful message they spread – Love for one another, healing, helping young & sick and companionship. They celebrate similarities instead of differences.

8) If you could recommend one book, what would it be?
My favorite book is Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. It covers everything from humor, cultural differences to terrorism. I was first introduced to this book by a coworker who wanted to know my thought on how well the author introduced India and the struggles. I couldn’t have agreed more with the writer. A must read for everyone! Very beautifully written book. I have gotten lot of people hooked to this book. Give it a try!

9) Your ideal way to spend a night in.
Idea night in would be with my darling husband. Candle light dinner with a nice wine & a romantic movie

10) Why did you start blogging?
Very similar to answer 3.
